Cosmic Kids Yoga is a huge hit with children.   Research has shown that yoga has many benefits for children.
"Yoga and mindfulness have been shown to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children (ages 6 to 12). Yoga improves balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity in children. Yoga and mindfulness offer psychological benefits for children as well. A growing body of research has already shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior, and can even reduce anxiety and stress in children."  ~Harvard Medical School
Cosmic KIids offers free yoga sessions based on fun topics that kids will love, including Harry Potter, Frozen, Trolls, Star Wars, Moana, 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' and lots more!  Click on the image to try it out!

MINDFULNESS FOR CHILDREN

Mindfulness is a great way for children (and adults!) to relax, relieve anxiety, and increase concentration.  We have been using mindfulness in schools for a few years now and children enjoy practicing it.  Here are some links with great ideas for introducing mindfulness at home, just click on the images.

covid 19 time capsule

Natalie Long of Long Creations ( https://www.facebook.com/LongCreations/) kindly produced this free printable which has been shared millions of times around the world.  This is a very strange time in all of our lives, and in our history.  This book offers a way for children to think about some of the more positive things in their lives at the moment, identify their feelings and emotions, as well as providing a memory for them to look at in years to come.  Click on the image for your free copy.
